Theeeeey’re Baaaaaack….

As Robinho has confirmed today that he will be returning to Eastlands this season, I got to thinking… who else would fans beg to pack their bags already?! who would make supporters shutter if they walked back in the door? which polarizing figures are followers just sick and tired of? Well, I’ve compiled a good ole Top 10 List to answer those very questions:

10. Dimitar BerbatovMan United – Red Devils fans continue to become more frustrated with his lackadaisical style of play, and can’t get over the large sum of cash the European Giants handed over to Spurs for him.

Here's me now... Here's the level of crazy I need to get up to

9. Jens LehmannArsenal – between peeing on the pitch and mishandling back-passes, the German keeper is likely one of the biggest characters in the game off football. It was always an adventure with him between the sticks for the Gunners

8. El Hadji DioufLiverpool – spitting on fans, racial slurs, driving offenses, the list goes on. At Liverpool he went 14 months without a goal; needless to say, the Reds don’t miss him.

7. Kieron DyerWest Ham – a math lesson in East London… 4 years + £60,000 per week = 19 appearances + 0 goals. Hammers fans still wonder how he has the audacity to collect his pay check.

6. Craig BellamyNewcastle – the Welshman has been endeared by fans of several clubs he has played for; Newcastle isn’t one of them… after his row with then boss Graeme Souness and a few ill-advised texts to Alan Shearer, he paved the way out the door at St. James Park.

5. Joey BartonMan City– police have his number on speed-dial, Citizens fans do not. With his arrests aside, Barton was an outspoken miscreant during his tenure at City, and even managed to snuff out his cigar in a teammate’s eye; that’s a new one for ya.

4. Sol Campbell Spurs – after the big defender made 250 appearances for Tottenham, he turned his back on the faithful and signed with the enemy. Hence, “Judas” shall be his name of preference at White Hart Lane.

Photoshop: it even makes Cashley Cole look good on money

3. Ashley ColeArsenal – his greedy ways and dirty style of football made him a real fan favorite at Arsenal (pick up on the sarcasm?) Cole was welcomed by Chelsea fans, but I wouldn’t be surprised to see them turn their back on the polarizing defender either.

2. Rafa BenitezLiverpool – some say he was a good manager, but those who truly longed to end the Reds’ title drought knew Rafa was never going to get it done. His questionable transfers and hot-cold relations with the owners baffled the media, and disappointed those who wished he’d have “walked alone” much sooner.

1. The Glazer FamilyMan United – With the constant grumblings and protests, it seems like the Glazers have presided over the European giants for decades. United fans will tell you it’s decades too long. The debt ridden investors have brought their talents to Manchester and don’t appear to be leaving any time soon.

Honorable Mentions: Pavlyuchenko (Spurs), Redknapp (Southampton & Pompey), Cantona (Leeds), Defoe (Charlton & West Ham), Ince (West Ham), Rooney (Everton)
